Dewatering

Sludge must be treated in order to dispose of it at reasonable costs. Various procedures and special equipment are used to reduce the amount of water in sludge. However, the desired degree of dewatering cannot normally be obtained by using only one piece of equipment or running the sludge through the system a single time.

Dewatering is a process that removes as much water as possible from the sludge.
