Research and Development

The Research and Development Division is driving innovation on all fronts. People, equipment and resources work in unison to advance research, innovation and the development of new products, technologies and processes.

At 3F Chimica, research and development on flocculants and other specialty chemicals involve diverse corporate departments, each applying their knowledge and expertise to satisfy customer needs. Strategic input and feedback for developing new products and improving existing products are provided by sales managers, as well as the production, purchasing and marketing departments. The Research and Development process can therefore be viewed as having a push-pull strategy, in which:

• The R&D Department conducts independent research projects based on in-house requirements when the Company perceives a need to expand its product portfolio and test raw materials that have a lower impact on health and the environment;
• The R&D Department collects feedback, as well as information on market demand and client needs, then uses this data to develop research projects aimed at creating new products or improving existing products.

In December 2008, 3F Chimica Spa won the Pigafetta Internationalization Award promoted by the Vicenza Chamber of Commerce as a result of the Company's focus on technological research, as well as the competitiveness it has achieved in international markets. The Company is particularly successful in the global market thanks to the entrepreneurial skills of Roberto Toniolo, as well as innovative modifications to the production system and product specialization.
